Barry P. Korn is a Chartered Financial Analyst with over 30 years of direct lending and consulting experience. As Managing Director of Barrett Capital, Mr. Korn is responsible for and oversees client relationships and assignments. Some people read novels, Mr. Korn reads balance sheets. Clients come to Barrett to determine what type of financing is required, know the financial institutions that are able to provide the appropriate financing, and execute on this expertise to get the job done. In addition, Mr. Korn is a licensed Mortgage Banker, affiliated with Mortgage World Bankers, providing exclusive residential and commercial loan programs.

Barrett Capital is a merchant banking and consulting firm specializing in debt and equity placement with an emphasis on asset based financing. Barrett maintains strategic relationships with a number of bank and non bank lenders, private equity sources and consultants in order to offer a complete range of financing options and advisory services.

Prior to Barrett Capital, Mr. Korn was Vice President of Webster Business Credit Corporation; the asset based lending division of $17 billion Webster Bank, one of New England’s largest commercial banks, providing accounts receivable and inventory lines of credit. Prior to his position with Webster, he worked for New York City based Sterling National Bank, providing asset based lending, lease financing and other commercial banking services. Prior to joining Sterling, Mr. Korn founded and served as President of Barrett Capital Corporation, an independent finance and consulting company, which owned and managed in excess of $100 million of equipment and vehicle leases; serving small, middle market and Fortune 500 companies.

Mr. Korn serves as a Board Member of the New York Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), Co Chair of its Sponsorship Committee and is a founding member of the Long Island Division. Mr. Korn is a recognized expert in the financial services and consulting field and has been regularly interviewed by major media publications.

He holds a Bachelors degree in Public Accounting and a Masters degree in Finance and Investments.
